| Well it's that
time of year again. The most wonderful time of
the year. Christmas trees decorated with lights,
Santa Clause bringing joy to kids everywhere,
toasty fires in the fireplace while drinking a
glass of eggnog, and warm times with friends and
family. It is has also become that time of the
year when my brain swells up and brain matter
begins to squeeze out of my ears! It's this
politically correct, "Christmas" versus
"Holiday" , who is offended by nonsense, that I
can't take anymore! Merry PC Christmas, oops, I
mean Holiday. This whole PC thing is
absolutely ridiculous. I mean take this whole
thing where teachers are now using purple
instead of red to correct papers. It use to be
when a kid would get an answer wrong they would
get a red X. Hell it's like that in the real
world too. Now, as to not be negative, they use
purple. Well dummies guess what? Soon kids will
associate purple with negative! Good one
genius'! PC is BS. It's just that simple. Now
this is a topic for another time but when you
treat kids like babies they will grow up to be
babies. They need to be offended once in awhile
and they need to be disappointed. After all life
is nothing more then a series of disappointments
with good things mixed in. Now let's take the
most peaceful, joyous holiday and try to mess
with that! That makes a lot of sense. I for one
am mad as hell and I am not going to take it
anymore!
This message is too all the Nimrods who are
offended by Christians and non-Christians who
celebrate Christmas and who are trying to screw
with our traditions, our beliefs, and everything
that makes Christmas, Christmas! There is so
much crap to cover that I will take it step by
step. Let's start with the big one. The birth of
Christ. I am not offended if you don't believe
in Christ or his birth. That is your right but
what I am offended by are those who say I can't
even say his name. You offend me! Sorry to break
the news to you but Christmas is about the birth
of Christ and by the way what is so offensive
about the birth of a baby anyways? In many towns
these moronic morons are complaining because of
manger scenes on the town green. Seriously? If
the baby in that manger was the devil then I
would join you but the baby symbolizes something
great whether you believe or not. It's just like
Santa Clause. Children believe in him, he gives
them joy, faith, hope, and gives them a little
magic. For those who don't believe, well, we
just don't believe. I'm not offended. Offended
by what? That this jolly bowl of blubber eats
all my cookies?
Christmas is about good things, warm things,
happy times, faith, believing, caring, loving,
peace on Earth, good will towards men and women,
the celebration of an innocent baby, and sure
presents and lots of good food oh and some days
off from work as well. Where in all of that is
there anything bad or offensive? The only thing
I could think of us is stuffing our faces with
twenty pounds of cookies and seven gallons of
eggnog! I hear a lot of people bitch about
commercialism but really that is just a part of
it and I really don't see anything wrong with it
as long as in the end you don't forget the
meaning of Christmas. Commercialism of Christmas
helps many of us keep our jobs. It helps the
economy and gives some companies a chance to go
another year without going into the red.
Christmas has taken on more than just the birth
of Christ and I really don't think Jesus is in
Heaven going " My, my I am so offended. Look at
them have a good time singing about a talking
snowman and decorating a pine tree." It's all
part of it and it's fine. In the end I believe
we all still know and celebrate the true
meaning. Redemption being a major part of it.
The bottom line is if you don't believe in
God or Christ that's your choice. In America men
died to that you could make that choice. I
respect that. I don't have to agree but I am
certainly not offended but you need to realize
that you have made an unpopular choice therefore
you are in the minority. Us 80% + who do believe
are the majority and in a democracy majority
wins. So let us have our Christmas and if you
don't like it tough. If the country was 80%+ non
believers then you would be in the majority and
we would have to live with out the nativity on
the town green. The Christians and Jews have
lived comfortably together for decades accepting
each others holidays and never getting offended.
We get along perfectly fine. We can say Merry
Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to each other
without offending the other. That brings me to
the stores and advertisers who makes up a good
portion of the PC morons in this country.
So to you morons I say this. You are the
one's starting trouble and making things worse.
Why you may ask? I'll tell you why because you
the ones backing down to the 5% who is offended.
Never mind appealing to the 85% Christians and
the 10% non-Christians who are not offended by
Christmas. A small number of dorks bitch and
moan and you change everything. "Holiday" tree.
"Winter decorations" give me a break. Maybe us
95% of the people who are not offended by
"Christmas" should just stop going to your PC
store! It drives me nuts when I see the Sunday
adds and there is no mention of Christmas even
though this is the "Christmas" season. The
celebration of Christmas lasts the whole month
just like there is twelve days of Hanukkah. It
is not a "Holiday" tree it's a "Christmas" tree!
It is not a candle rack it's a Menorah.
How about those who say no religion in
politics because it is against the constitution.
Well I happen to know history and I have a good
memory so let me clear it up for. It was not
freedom from religion, it is freedom of
religion. We all have the right, thanks to our
forefathers who invented this country, to choose
our religion and belief what we want to believe
without the government or a monarchy telling us
what and how we should believe or live. It does
not mean that the government is to be void of
God. It was created on the belief of God and his
ways. Free will was God's gift to us and Free
will is what this country is based on. Freedom.
Freedom comes from God and the forefathers wrote
the constitution based on that. If you don't
believe in God you are in the minority and you
need to accept that and live with it. This is a
democracy. Look it up. As Americans we can live
with each other and accept each other but let's
not run over each other with a steamroller. Let
Christmas be what it is "Christmas" and stop
trying to take God out of Washington when he is
what this country was built on and besides the
ten commandments are just simple and important
rules we would live by even if they were not
from God. What's offensive? Perhaps many
organized religions get out of hand, I
understand that, but the core of God and Christ
is about good things. Nothing offensive there.
Now there are some other things that really
fry my ass. Red and Green. For those dorks who
think those colors are offensive and need to be
changed all I can say is grow the ----up! I mean
really? Really? Those are just two colors that
look great together and happen to be the colors
of winter. Red berries, green holy leaves. They
are the only frickin' colors you see in winter
besides gray and white! Therefore in the
celebration of Christmas it took on those
colors. It is no way offensive nor is it a
specific color of God or the birth of Christ.
Side note all colors belong to God.
How about the upside down tree. What the hell
is that? Is it just a thing or is it a message?
Whatever it is, it's stupid! It looks awful. Do
trees grow upside down? Did I miss something? I
have nothing else to say on that. I'm
speechless. Really.
Now let us talk about the "Christmas Tree."
Just to let those offended people know it's not
a symbol of the birth of Christ or God. It's a
TREE! A lot of the celebration of Christmas and
those things associated with it were taken from
Pagan symbols celebrating winter. Christmas was
not always in December but when it did move to a
winter month somewhere along the lines people
begin taken pagan rituals and mixing them in. I
don't see nothing wrong with that! So to be
offended by a beautiful blue spruce or a balsam
decorated with multi colored lights, ornaments,
garland, tinsel, and pure happiness is only
makes you look like a complete and total IDIOT!
Get over it. There is nothing offensive here.
Hey if you want to have a tree decorated because
you think it looks nice go ahead. I won't be
offended. It is not a symbol of the birth of
Christ. As a matter of fact because it is not
symbol of the birth of Christ many Jewish
families have added it to their celebration.
There is nothing wrong with it. It's pretty,
warm, and makes a room look so much better. So
go ahead get one. You having nothing to fear. Be
happy and stop bitching.
Now to the schools. You really piss me off.
We have gone from "Christmas Pageant" to "Winter
Festival". Some schools have eliminated the
Christmas tree, the colors red and green, and
all songs that mention Christ or the word
Christmas. Some have gone as far as changing the
words. Grow up! First of all in the United
States the majority of schools are made up of
Christians. If you happen to be a school made up
of Jews or other then have the "Winter festival"
You are the majority there and your belief is
king but for the mostly Christians school the
only person who will be offended b y a
"Christmas" show is that 1 moron in the audience
who doesn't believe in God and has no tolerance
for those who do. Which is the 99% in that
school. So why are you bending over for that one
guy? If you are offended don't go you stupid
dummy! Don't tell me I have to change it for
you. Stop prancing all over my beliefs. Leave
Christmas alone. If you happen to have a school
made up equally of Jews and Christians then
combine each others festivals. Why can't we
learn from one another and celebrate each other?
Let's not just simply eliminate.
Bottom line there is nothing offensive about
Christmas. It is only a very small number of
people who have to make trouble. They go on the
news and bitch and then try to stop what we
believe and celebrate. It's the dummy stores who
back down and cater to them which is shocking to
me. If I was in business and had my own store I
would cater to the group who will make me the
most money. Call me crazy but if I have 5% who
hates Christmas and 95% who either celebrates it
and tolerates it then I am going to appeal to
that 95%. Not the 5%.
If you believe or don't believe in Christ
there still is nothing offensive about him.
That's what I really don't get. He was about
peace, love, forgiveness, redemption, and love.
Not hate, intolerance, or evil. The birth of
baby Jesus also was non-offensive. For
Christians it was the birth of Christ and the
birth of everything we believe today. For
non-believers it's a story about a young woman
who could not get into the inn because it was
full so she had a baby out in the middle of a
desert! It's so simple. All the hate in world
over our different religious beliefs is just a
colossal waste of time. In the end we will all
learn the same truth whatever it may be. One of
us will be right. Which one? Well that's what
faith is. Instead let's just live a good life
and enjoy the time we do have here. Let's stop
the hate and accept each other.
Merry Christmas is the sweetest and kindest
greeting you can give. It is that of warmth and
kindness. Merry to be happy to the fullest
extend. And Christmas to love one another, peace
on earth, good will towards men and women,
harmony, forgiveness, joy, celebration. It's
just that simple. Happy Holidays once meant
Happy "Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas,
Kwanza, New Years" but now it has become a
defiant greeting against "Merry Christmas" when
it doesn't need to be. There is nothing
offensive in the greeting of Merry Christmas and
there shouldn't be.
So what we do? Do we back down to that 5% who
are offended? Hell no! Sure it has become
difficult to say Happy Holidays because of the
vengeful meaning it has taken on. I use to say
it because it was for all of the Holidays but
now I must fight back. So I say "Merry
Christmas." I bitch when I go to stores and I
see "Holiday Tree" or "Festival Lights." I throw
things at my TV when I see some a-hole bitch
that someone as a nativity set displayed, and I
write this for all to see. I live in the North
East of the United States and I am near New York
City and I have seen Rabbis in the city fighting
back as well. I have seen them laugh off the
"Holiday Tree" and call it a "Christmas Tree"
and they get just as offended as Christians
because they can't understand what the hell is
so offensive about Christmas? The Jews don't
believe Christ was the son of God and that is
their right. I am not offended.
Politically correct is an offensive joke. It
is a failure. It is meaningless. The word
"retard" comes from "mental retardation" which
"retard" or "retarded" has become highly
offensive. So we say "mentally challenged." When
I was a child "retarded" was the term. It was PC
that made it offensive. Handicapped is a great
example of one that has backfired. It went from
handicapped to handicapable. But handicapable
has now become offensive so we have gone back to
handicapped which if this PC crap doesn't end
will be offensive in the future and then be
called handicapable which will then go back and
you the know the ever loving rest! PC is killing
us and it must stop! Let's start with this
Christmas season my fellow humans.
The truth is I am not offended by those who
don't believe in God, the birth of Christ, or
Jesus being the son of God. There is nothing for
me to be offended about. It's all about faith. I
can't prove that everything in the bible is
true. I can't prove Christ was even here or that
God exists. I just have faith. Some believe
Ghosts are real others do not. Some believe
Aliens live and others do not. Just because you
haven’t seen it doesn't mean it's not true. You
just have faith it is. Sometimes those things
that we don't believe in come true. Let's take
Hogzilla. A few years ago in the southwestern
parts of the United States people were claiming
to see this mythical pig that was bigger than an
elephant. Many laughed at them. Many denied it.
Then one day, not long ago, a giant wild pig
about the size of an elephant was caught and it
was proven to the world that Hogzilla was indeed
real. It is no longer a myth.
My family, my friends, my co-workers all live
in harmony together. We may have our differences
at times but at the end of the day we are on the
same blue ball circling a giant ball of gas. We
should be tolerant of each other. When it comes
to Christmas and you are in the minority I
remind you this is a democracy and in a
democracy majority rules. That's how it is. When
we vote the one with most wins and don't give me
that whole George Bush didn't win garbage. I
play by the truth and the truth is after
countless recounts he won every time whether you
like him or not. I won't tell you my political
preference so I am not saying if I support or
not. I just want to express the truth. It was an
extremely close race and that's that. It's over.
What my point is, the higher number wins and
that is who rules. The one with the longer straw
goes first. Until now those of us who celebrated
Christmas did it without smooshing it in your
face. We simply celebrated. It is wrong to do
that but now we are pissed and we are fighting
back so you get the pie in the face. It is my
hope this battle ends and the PC Christmas thing
becomes a thing of the past so that way I can
set my tree up, drink my glass of eggnog, go to
midnight mass, and say Merry Christmas without
anyone being offended and having my brains shoot
out of my ears. Just maybe that 5% will say
Merry Christmas back because they too will
realize that there is nothing to be offended
about. So with that I say to 100% of the country
and the world. Merry Christmas, Peace on Earth,
and good will to each every one of you. |
