JOHN LANDOLFI 1975-2008
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of John Landolfi. For those who have been a fan of mine for years you will remember John from my TV show "Comedy After Dark." It was with John's help that I was able to create and start the show. Without him it would have never happened. He was a good friend during those years and in High School. After High School we got in touch a few times.Comedy After Dark became a success because of the people who were part of it. I cherish those memories and John is a big part of it. He had a way of pushing people forward and that was what he did for me. When he found out about my voice impersonations he told everyone. He told teachers and even the lunch ladies. That helped me grow as a performer. When I had the idea for the show he didn't really believe me at first. It wasn't until after the first episode was filmed that he saw how serious I was and that is when he believed in me and the show. We worked our asses off to make it work and bring that show to success and we did. I am where I am today because of it. John and everyone else who was a part of it and believed in it are responsible for our success.
I am stunned by his death. He was only 33 years old. I am sad for his family and sad that his life has been cut too short. I will always be grateful to John for his help, creativity, motivation, and humor during those years. I will never forget the time we took the show to Washington D.C. I have always felt that what we shot that week was some of the best stuff we ever did. All four of us had a great time and now to think you are no longer here is hard to comprehend.
To John's family and friends I give you my prayers and blessings. To all the fans of Comedy After Dark who I know remember John very well I say how sorry I am, and to John I say thank you and I will never forget you.
