Comedy After Dark was created in 1992 by Mike Burke and John Landolfi. It ran from 1992 to 1994. It was a talk variety show featuring many sketches and interviews. The show became a huge hit during it's first airing and remained number one through out it's entire run. It became the most watched show in the cable station's history.
Not to long after the show ended with it's 100th episode the cable station went out and was replaced. All hopes to rebroadcast the show's reruns were destroyed, until now! Thanks to the web this show can live on in cyberspace and reach a much bigger audience... THE WORLD!!!!
Although the show had no budget and was produced by a team who never did this before the show went onto to great success and produced many great and funny moments. Although the material is outdated now (It ran during the end of Bush '41" administration and the beginning of Clinton's) it is still funny to watch. The footage is not the best of quality as DVD as digital filming did not exist then. We filmed on VHS and all editing was done VCR to VCR (we had NO BUDGET!!!)
I am so pleased to bring you a series of clips that show some of our best work. You can read all about the show by going to the link above and read the Story about the show. All video clips are ready to view below. Enjoy!!
